Monday May 12th: Final Review day at Jones Lang LaSalle 46th Floor in the Aon Center. While there were a lot of struggles, frustrations, time, and energy put into getting everything down here safely, it all worked out and looked fantastic! I wanted to thank Karol Perez, for being my partner all semester and turning our a great project. Even though there were struggles, like all partnerships, I thought we did a great job and had a great project. I also would like to thank JLL for allowing this opportunity. They have been fantastic in hosting us when we visit and also taking the time out of their busy schedules to accommodate us and give us feedback on our work. Thank you as well to the reviewers who could come and critique and give us good feedback as well! Even Dean Greenstreet made an appearance to see our final work yesterday.
Finally, thank you to Kyle Reynolds for making this studio possible as well, and constantly giving us feedback, support and encouragement all semester long. This studio has been fantastic, I really enjoyed having the opportunity to do a project of this magnitude and to produce the types of things we did. In the end it looking at our collection of work was really impressive.
Saturday, Building our model. Started with layering the floors and core. Karol started gluing the columns while I was molding our acrylic that represents our facade. It’s coming along, only one more day to the final review at this point.
